Today is the beginning of a new year for Covenant (turned 3 today!). We will begin by announcing a project we have been working on for a very long time. Thanks in large part to Jonathan Wooley and his insane video editing, special effect creating skills, we present to you the Definitive Monsterpocalypse Tutorial.
This is not just a tutorial showing you how to play a game. This is a tutorial meant to streamline the learning process, and so decrease the amount of time between picking up your first starter box and playing your first real game. The post-production (which includes some very cool and entertaining effects) is designed to facilitate the learning experience by providing visual cues and reminders for each concept.
After you’re done learning and have played a few games, the DVD also includes the first Monsterpocalypse Masters final with commentary by Steven and Zach. By providing both the tutorial and the Master’s match, we hope to offer a product that not only eases entry into the world of Monpoc, but also advances players much further than a typical demo.
The DVD will be on pre-order from January 1st through January 22nd, 2010. The initial price ($14.97) is only for the first week. After this period, the price will increase. After the initial 3 weeks of pre-ordering, the price will increase again to the final price. The DVD’s will ship around February 5th, 2010. Be sure and order today to get the lowest price we will be offering on this DVD. You can go here to order.

This is incredible. I don’t even need it and I want it. The special effects are very cute and well done.
And you haven’t even seen the best of the special effects! There are some amazing effects…
I might have to pick this up. It looks very well done and I’m sure I’d learn a few things. One curiosity though, how long is the video?
The actual tutorial comes in around an hour and 45 minutes. The masters event is about an hour long. Both are very entertaining (just finished watching the tutorial one last time).
This entry was pretty interesting, how often do you update your blog? I’ve bookmarked this site and gave you guys a digg, hope to read more soon!
