WOW! MONPOC RULES! THE BEST KEEPS ON GETTING BETTER!
Hmm.
Not sure I like the sound of these ’super rare’ character figures. Memories of chase and/or holographic imprint cards, anyone?
Stay classy Privateer.
Yes yes yes yes yesyesyesyesYESYESYES!
Civilian units… Unique characters… a Ferris Wheel…
Excited doesn’t begin to explain how I feel right now.
” And UberCorp International develops new mechanized monstrosities to fiendishly and radically further their corporate expansion.”
Looks like there’s definitely an Ape or another Dino for UCI monsters.
As for the “super rare” characters, My guess is that the distribution for them will be one of each in a unit case, while the other rares will be 2 per case. Not anything that case-buying folks will need to worry about.
8 new builidngs, and buildings being back in the unit boosters is what floats my boat the most. That was they key problem with ICNY. The monuments were too “hard” to get, especially if you wanted more than one of each.
The Civilian/mercenary units are a big bag of meh to me. I think it homogenizes the environment too much. If the units are good, they’ll be in every list (just like the buildings that are in almost every list). We get enough of that as it is with cross-faction splash units.
Sweet. Everything sounds excellent, especially the extra regular buildings and monuments in unit boosters. And it’s two months later than expected, so that’s good for us case buyers to save up.
I sense a Bee/Wasp monster heading for Savage Swarm, and the Trition monster I know but I can’t put my tongue on it.
Tritons are definitely getting some sort of shark-thing. (Megalodon?) They’re also likely getting a giant lobster or crab (thanks to the ‘claws’ reference).
I knew they were coming to Tokyo . Didn’t know when, but frankly, they had to do it. Triton Shark Monster? Also saw it coming. PRIVATEER PRESS, YOU’RE GETTING PREDICTABLE!
What i said before is becoming truer than ever before. Savage Swarm Shall get Big Bad Bees and Ants ( wondering where the picnic is, of course); The Drill Hydra surfaces; The elements of earth and air enter the fray. Can it get any easier than this to predict
Even though a lot of it was vaguely expected, such as a shark monster and bees/ants, I’d say there are still a lot of surprises in store for us. Of course, I’d be happy to be proven wrong by anyone who wants to start making predictions.
Time to tell everyone what the last Ubercorp monster is. I zoomed in on a picture of the side of the monster booster box and the new ubercorp monster is … Mecha Kondo! At first I was thinking Armordax but the name was divided into two words neither as long as Armordax but Mecha Kondo would be just right. That means that Ubercorp is making Robot knockoffs of all their enemy’s box art monsters, so expect to see robotic versions of Mantacon and Grindix-Birvikaan.
Ugh, I’m so doomed. I’ll never be able to play one faction! Shark Monster! Lobster Monster! Mecha Kondo and Cyber Terra Khan tag team vs King Kondo and Terra Khan! With the Empire State Building! And the Tokyo Tower! By god, the Tokyo Tower. How did this game manage to last a year and a half without the Tokyo Tower getting destroyed? Hopefully Mecha Kondo is a brawling unit buffer so I can play the Carnitron-centric unit general brawling army that I wish Zor-Raiden could support. (Stupid Zors being good at everything. I just want you to sit in a corner and be a unit general, why you gotta have all kinds of nice attacks and abilities on your Mega and shit?)
I can’t wait! So excited for Tritons. Not to mention the other factions! I guess I’ll just be over here being sad that Savage Swarm is getting… a bee or something, and not a Stag Beetle with Chain Attack or a Rhinocerus Beetle with Juggernaut. I want the block to be Finished so Elemental Champions can have all 4 pairs of Avatar-Kami (got 4 so far, 4 more to go. We’ll probably get an Earth Kami (Brawling unit plees!) and a Wind Avatar (It’s gonna have lift!) this set, with the Wind Kami (Synchronized move brawl and red hasten?) and Fire Avatar (I got nothing.) rounding off the last. Earth Kami will hopefully be a nice frontline brawler to team up with the Water Kami, since one of the monsters will have red or blue gang. (Or maybe a unit with red gang..) Elemental Champions were a faction I was very excited for but I’ve been completely unimpressed by Incinerus and Aquosia just isn’t my style. I’m betting the Earth champion will be directly up my alley and I”m sure I’ll love the.. morpher-esque series 6 monster.
Very excited for more Green Abilities as well. They have such huge possibilities to unlock meta-changing tactics. Civilian units as well. The gamer in me loves the Character Units. Thank god for Singles shops, I guess. Starting to hate MonPoc’s collectable format more and more as time goes by. Dear lord do I love the game to death though.
great stuff thx
