Here it is, Friday again. Time for the weekend! And time for a puzzle! Here’s the solution to last week’s puzzle. Click Here. (or right-click -> save file as).
Now, time for a new one! Best of luck!

Setup: You are playing as Blue (Protectors). It is your turn. You may take ONE unit activation followed by ONE monster activation (pretend that your opponent is forced to take an inconsequential unit activation).
Goal: Form kill Mega Pteradax (sorry Ken).
The way these puzzles work is similar to the old Kaiju Conundrums from the strategy guides (RIP). No dice rolling actually occurs. Instead, you calculate a hit using the following method:
Action Die = 3
Boost Die = 4
Power Die = 5
Defense Point = 5
Your total points for the attack must match or exceed the total points of the defender. For instance, let’s take Grindix. Grindix has a Defense of 6, and so a value of 6 * 5 = 30. If I want to hit Grindix, I need to spend enough dice to match or exceed 30. So, let’s say 3 A-Die and 6 B-Die. 3 * 3 = 9, and 6 * 4 = 24. That gives our 3A 6B attack a total value of 33. This exceeds the Defense value of 30, so it counts as a hit and the dice are spent. Use this method for anything, including powering up. You need to hit a 1 to power up, so the roll has a defense of 5. 2 A-Die (6) will always be successful. 1 A-Die (3) will never be successful.
Now, while puzzles are nice on their own, why not throw in some prizes? You will have 48 hours from the time of this posting to send in a correct solution. After the 48 hours have passed, we’ll randomly select one of the correct answers and award its author a prize. Also, everyone who correctly solves the puzzle in 48 hours will have their name forever etched in this post!
Send your solution to team@covenanttcg.com as either a step-by-step e-mail or a vassal saved game. A vassal file of the puzzle can be downloaded here.
Cheers and good luck!

Glad for you, Philip. This one’s kicking my butt. I figured out how to power up for 10, then remembered Aquosia’s land-bound.
Don’t worry JeFF. I’m sure you’ll get it.
You got the last one long before I figured it out, and I had to have people telling me where I was going wrong before I finally got it.
Solution found. Will send it in when I get home in a bit.
After consultation with a wiser man, I realized I’ve been going for a 7pt throw for the last…wow, way too long. Kate’s going to stomp me tonight.

I think this one panders to my playstyle a bit as I got it straight away with one minor wrinkle that needed ironing out.
First try! Ha… Great puzzle.
Sounds like there’s a number of solutions to this one… I wonder which ones of us got the same solution that our illustrious puzzle creator did.
Knowing his solution to last week’s puzzle, I’d guess none of us went the route he expected. I could be wrong though… There’s nothing wrong with an easier puzzle, it just means there are more names in the hat.
lol, I’ll have a look when I get home from the tournament later!
Solution Found!I just drank until i realized that the good way to handle MPD is to pick him up and through him off the table. GAME > SET > MATCH.
WHERE IS MY NEXT PUZZLE. I’M KEEPING THIS BAG OFF TACOS FROM YOU UNTIL IT IS RECIEVED.
P.S. HOPE YOU LIKE TACOS OFF THE TACO BELL DOLLAR MENU
P.P.S. GOT HUNGRY. ATE THE TACOS. GUESS YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD PUZZLE 3 OUT SOONER, CAUSE THEN YOU’D HAVE TACOS.
Alright guys, I apologize for all of the confusion =)
As I looked at the puzzle again, I realize I actually uploaded the first draft instead of the final. (Don’t ever name something puzzle2firstdraft and puzzle2final because they both look like “puzzle2fi” when shortened!)
So here’s the ACTUAL puzzle. You’ll have some extra time to do it because I messed up. But it should be a much more enjoyable mental exercise now!
Again, sorry for the confusion. Good luck!
Darn, this one took me around 20 minutes of thought. Great step up from the last puzzle, guys. I salute you.
Wait, did you just change it? AGAIN? Frick.
I’m doing this tomorrow, since hopefully by then you’ll have the right one up…
Axl,
This is the right one =) Your solution still stands though. Sorry for the hassle!
I included the repair vehicle in my solution just because!
You know, you guys might send some kind of reply to everyone who emailed in letting them know the problem was changed.
Thanks Nate!
Especially for the Repair Vehicle =)
@ Mark
Screenshot or it didn’t happen.
Really? Changed again? /cries
It was changed about an hour and a half ago. Pay attention, Galactus.
Not too bad once you start looking in the right places. Though I’m not a fan of some of the changes between this and the first version
Ok, sent you the solution… again. Final answer. lol.
Wait, how many times has this been changed? Is my answer still valid or do I have to resubmit? I’ve become very confused. lol
Do it again Nate. Imo they’re all pretty straight forward.
Actually Galactus, whatever (if anything) was changed, my answer still works so, just reapply I guess.
I blame Galactus for making this harder than it is. Nothing is f*cked here dude.
If you don’t get the Big Lebowski quote, go home.
Sent the revised solution. Fingers crossed for MORE store credit! thanks, loving these.
Awesome! Just got a new phone and I can read your blog on my phone, it didn’t work on my old one
Doesn’t look like the final version changes my solution much.
Who left MPD standing out there by himself? Who left MPD hypered up?? Where are MPD’s units? How is the bellower ineffectual? I can’t suspend disbelief long enough to solve this….
I’m sad….

The updated one has been sent too. Tiny bit harder, but I was trying to pull this trick in a game against Josh yesterday, so I have a handicap. =)
Got it at last, that one was a bit trickier. Probably took me an hour because I was thinking in completely the wrong direction…
