It’s Friday. Time for scotch. Here’s the solution to last week’s puzzle: click here. (or right-click -> save file as).

And now it’s time. In honor of Armodax’s recent popularity, it’s only fitting that he be featured in our puzzle =)

Setup: You are playing as Blue (Radicals). It is your turn. You may take ONE unit activation followed by ONE monster activation (pretend that your opponent is forced to take an inconsequential unit activation).
Goal: Win the game.
The way these puzzles work is similar to the old Kaiju Conundrums from the strategy guides (RIP). No dice rolling actually occurs. Instead, you calculate a hit using the following method:
Action Die = 3
Boost Die = 4
Power Die = 5
Defense Point = 5
Your total points for the attack must match or exceed the total points of the defender. For instance, let’s take Grindix. Grindix has a Defense of 6, and so a value of 6 * 5 = 30. If I want to hit Grindix, I need to spend enough dice to match or exceed 30. So, let’s say 3 A-Die and 6 B-Die. 3 * 3 = 9, and 6 * 4 = 24. That gives our 3A 6B attack a total value of 33. This exceeds the Defense value of 30, so it counts as a hit and the dice are spent. Use this method for anything, including powering up. You need to hit a 1 to power up, so the roll has a defense of 5. 2 A-Die (6) will always be successful. 1 A-Die (3) will never be successful.
Now, while puzzles are nice on their own, why not throw in some prizes? You will have 48 hours from the time of this posting to send in a correct solution. After the 48 hours have passed, we’ll randomly select one of the correct answers and award its author a prize. Also, everyone who correctly solves the puzzle in 48 hours will have their name forever etched in this post!
Send your solution to team@covenanttcg.com as either a step-by-step e-mail or a vassal saved game. A vassal file of the puzzle can be downloaded here. (updated) Whatever you sign your name as in the e-mail is the name that will go on the list of solvers.
Cheers and good luck!

What’s this Carnidon unit I’m seeing? Is that a preview for set 5 or something? I mean, I understood the repair vehicles, but this one baffles me!
(this has been Nate’s weekly unit putdown)
Haha, maybe he’s necessary to solve the puzzle…
Glad I play Terrasaurs. The Protectors conundrums were kicking my butt the last couple of times
W00t. I went for overkill.
that puzzle needed way more cowbell
Overkill FTW!
Are these puzzles getting easier, or am I just getting better at them?
I suspect you’re getting better at them. This one used key elements from three of the previous puzzles that I spotted. Also Armodax is a pretty straightforwards beatstick when it comes down to it – there aren’t too many ways to use him – especially with a run up available
Last weeks puzzle seemed to catch a few people out though – only eight solutions handed in…
If you’re looking for more cowbell, do it without the Explosion square.
It may or may not have meant to be covered
Regardless, it’s good to have an easy one every now and then, eh?
More than good. I’d say it’s important. Yes, the more skilled crowd love a challenge, but those still picking up the game surely enjoy getting to solve a puzzle once in a while too.
Hm… I just realized my answer might have been wrong (will have to check the rules board). Ah well, another puzzle will be next week.
