Earlier today, Mike from Privateer posted a blog on MonsterInsider.net featuring the Savage Swarm! In the podcast, Zach digs for answers from the privateer press developer.
There is a new first place in town – Theodore Lehman. He was the only one who successfully answered last week’s quiz. You can go here to take this week’s active quiz! We will be making a major announcement on Wednesday, which will also hint at the prize for the quiz contest. Be sure to get in on the quizzes asap! There is still time!
If you have anything you’d specifically like us to discuss, post below! We will sneak some of your questions into our interview with Michael. If you enjoyed this podcast, you can find all of our others sprinkled across our site or you can visit our iTunes page.

Super Rampage and Juggernaught and Beatback and Blitz? NERF!
wh… I… I….

It’s going to be ok tendo. I promises.
I’ve already dislocated my jaw and I have an insurance agent coming next week to check on these drool-logged floorboards… I don’t know if I’m ready for this! It’s just too overwhelming!
Interesting and fun sounding monsters. Units are a little underwhelming and the monsters don’t sound like they’ll be the unit generals I was hoping for but I LOVE the way those monsters look. Gotta say I’m very pleased with their names. Four thumbs up on those names. ^_^
And gosh but I hope we don’t ever see any more def 8 monsters and I pray for never a def 9 monster. Although if they have only 1-2 health to balance it out I’ll accept them.
Did he say that Xixorax has Spire in the Ultra…I guess that would make it an odd reaction that go off on any phase…although then again that would make sense since the comet shard has it too.
Yeah, Spire so that you can beatback into yourself for two damage… Take a point of damage to deal three with a brawl X-D
These guys are going to be painful to play against! Very straightforward painbringers.
Spire on Xixorax is simply brilliant. Look at how we can take existing abilities and utilize them in ways that make brand new styles of play and ability combinations.
It’s an outstanding use of the existing abilities that still emulates the feel of a “stinger” and a new monster. I just love it.
Ok, so spire is there. So was it changed then that reactions can go off on your turn as well or is Spire just an exception to that rule?
That’s a very good point. Spire doesn’t do ANYTHING with beatback as the rules stand now. Poor, poor Xixorax. Foiled by the rules.
Well, they need to fix those rules anyways so I can have my Ulgoth vs Ulgoth hilarity match. Not to mention Crawlers would be a lot more useful if reactions went off on both turns, and really, why shouldn’t they?
Thought though, would Spire kick in if Xixorax was smashed? I think it should still work as a kind of protection against other monsters with Juggernaught…but if it works against Smash and other similar attacks, then that could make the reaction totally worth it.
Theyre not getting collided into so it wouldnt work( I hope)
It’d be awesome in the multi monster games though
I wonder if theres going to be bugs in the Shadow Sun?
Will there be more hazards? If theres a oil company, will there be a oil slick hazard, slip across it if you move through it
I really like the fresh perspective you did on the issue. Really was not expecting that when I started off studying. Your concepts were easy to understand that I wondered why I never looked at it before. Glad to know that there’s an individual out there that definitely understands what he’s discussing! Great job.
