When we went quantum and decided to hand out a ton of mega and quantum King Kondo’s in faction pack pre-orders, we went big. After all was said and done, 1 out of 8 people got a mega or quantum King Kondo. If you were lucky enough to be one of these customers, please post here! If not, better luck next time.
I also wanted to explain the process of packing the factions packs a bit. Here is what we did:
1. Saw how many of each faction pack we needed
2. Made that many faction packs
3. There were 4 of us, so 1 at a time we went and randomly chose a box from all the faction packs we had put together. We then put the Kondo in that box
4. When putting orders together we would pull faction packs from our pre put together boxes
5. When we would get one with a Kondo in it, we would say grats on the invoice and provide a link
Therefore, if your order is shipping late it provides you no less chance of getting a Kondo. In fact, I’ve seen at least one of the faction packs we have left with a Kondo in it. Below you will see images of a job well done by all the openers, packers, and shippers. It was an interesting and blurry few days of opening box upon box and packing order upon order.

Very sad. There are times on smaller packages that going priority doesn’t add any speed. In that case, we don’t ship priority.

No Mega or Quantum here, not that I expected one. Got my lone Krakenoctus (in a Now! unit booster, heh) today and knew there was no way they crammed a third form in there.
Although monsters may never have been eligible for that offer anyway?
I did get a note on my invoice from Tim that he’d just lost to the squid, which is even funnier after the complaints over the monster, so that was neat.
I didn’t get my faction pack yet! Waiting by the mailbox.

No Mega or Quantum King Kondo here – but no worries. It’ll be nice to be able to field a full-faction NOW army. One case of units just isn’t enough…
So you just pocket the extra cash, Zach? It’s only 2 bucks, but still… Bad form.
Like I said, this is a very unusual thing. However, the majority of the time we catch this and issue a refund to the customer for the extra. Of course, we aren’t used to shipping out 100+ orders a day… So I’m guess this just slipped past us.
Wow. 1 out of 8 is actually pretty good odds, considering how popular the faction pack idea was.

I won’t know for another week! My order’s been delayed because there was a double-alpha or double-ultra Gorghadratron. If all of the Mega/Quantum King Kondos were already sent out, then I guess I never got a chance…
Please Zach, tell me my order still has a chance for a Kind Kondo. When do you think my order will ship out anyways? My Planet Eaters are getting lonely, not getting to play with their new Savage Swarm friends.
Got it last night. Anglax + Tritons. When I saw it come in a single booster (grats to whomever crammed it all in there) I knew there was no way I’d get a +form Kondo. (though I pulled him in my first monster booster) I was wondering how the system was “randomized”.
Also, the note someone left in it (“If you can play this guy without making the murloc noise, you’re a better man than I”) really made me laugh. I’m taking Anglax to a tournament today hopefully and I doubt I can resist the temptation…

Dre, if I had to guess, I’d say that’s probably been the plan from the beginning. Unless, of course, they’re gonna start shoving Mega Krakens into random orders next.
I wonder, did they hold anything back to sell on the site later or did every Mega and Quantum get lovingly dropped into a faction pack?
no Kondo for me, just Gakura and a plethora of apes to go along with him. And sadly, the next event I’m likely to be able to attend is sealed unit, so unless I can get someone to show up early and get a quick game in, I’m just going to have to settle for practicing with them. So, TC, does this mean that we can expect similar events in the future? Will the plan (if such can be revealed) be to do one for each Series release? I might want to get an EC faction pack…depending on how my next booster pulls go, but if we’re going to see a future Mega promotion, I might want to wait….

Got my package very fast(Thur.)! Just woke up from getting hit by some Kondo (mega). That some hard to get out of your cloths! Thank guys!
I got a mega in my Subterranean faction set! Thanks Team Covenant. I had no expectation of seeing anything but a bunch of moles when I opened the box, but since I’m also collecting Apes out of this set, it was an excellent bonus. The faction sets are a deal even without the random bonus and if you do this again for series 5, I’ll definitely be ordering again.
Yeah, I missed the boat, but will definitely be ordering next time around.
Umm, i think i got a mispacked one, I ordered Krakenoctus and a Faction Pack. Opened up the package, no Kraken, but a Mega Kondo AND Quantum Kondo. I’m pleased
@Scott, If only you’d ordered Apes, you’d be set once you got your hands on the Kondo Alpha.
Kind of sucks to not get what you were expecting though. I expect this will be straightened out post haste.
