He Said, He Said: The Takeover
By Steven– December 22, 2011
This week I wrangle in two special guests in order to get caught up with Monsterpocalypse and discuss the “matchup meta”!
Topical Links:
Thinking Outside the Bowl
Monday Night Monster
The Princess Bride
If you have any topics you would like to hear discussed or would like to come on and discuss yourself, please leave us a comment, or send me an email at steven@teamcovenant.com or just drop Robert or I a line at our respective pages (http://teamcovenant.com/galactus/ or http://teamcovenant.com/botounami/). We’d love to hear from you.

You guys are nuts!
Yes sir, thank you sir.
oh, btw Zach, St. Louis is about halfway. I’ll meet you there for our game. There you will face……. hmmmmm. Maybe I’ll surprise you and bring Quantum Cthugrosh.
I would almost be willing to do it… almost. That being said, there is like a 10% chance that I would be visiting family about an hour east of Chicago the week we are supposed to play our game. I’ll let you know if that becomes a reality.
Sycamore/ Sandwich area? That would be awesome. Let me know.
Can do. I’m not exactly sure the town / city. The family members recently moved there.
Series 6 comment not funny(ok it was a little bit).
So when are the MNM6 logs going to go up on the Wiki? There are a number of matches that I wanted to see.
Just so you know, a lot of these games are played in real life (meaning no log file).
LOL, I do make all kinds of mistakes, less so as I play more I think, depending on fatigue and focus
. In MNM 4 & 5, most of my opponents had consistently bad luck on key rolls, laughably so, AND playing Ultra Osheroth helped me recover from mistakes using whatever skill I could muster.
Drop Robert or ME a line… come on, college boys, you should be able to get this right!
Objects and subjects…WHO KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE?
…with all yer fancy book learnin’ I would have thought you would.
Actually that one is easy, as you just have to take out he “Robert or” to test it. In this case would you say “call me” or “Call I”. That is how you know which subject to use!
This teacher moment brought to you by, your friendly neighbourhood Spazz.
Obviously Canada has fancier book learnin’.
THANK YOU! I am glad someone here is finally calling people out on their poor grammar. I knew I couldn’t be the only one that had a problem with the butchering of proper American English. If you will pardon my use of a common colloquialism, but this “willy-nilley” use of this so called “English” is a problem not only here, but all over the Internet and our schools. Won’t somepony think of the children?
Stop
bob did post a game report…
did ya’all miss that too like u missed the game? tsk tsk
if u need some ideas for blogging…
ponies are always relevant to every subject in existence
and they never get old
Stop.
Thanks for the shout out guys! I plan to try and create my own fun method of doing Mastering Monsterpocalypse with my next monster.
Then again, walls of text have been used for thousands of years. How can you argue with such a trusted method?
The bar has been set very high by Spazz for the Mastering MonPoc Series. I wish I had the time to do some cool, but I’m just going to try and finish.
Was listening to this as I put the finishing touches on my Day 15 blog. It is the great support and kudos from the community that makes it so easy for me to keep pumping these things out!
I just wonder what I am going to do with all the free time, once I reach Day 31!
You could do it again with a new monster – but this time instead of a comic program, you should do it with nothing but legos, oil paints, and latex gloves. I actually think that you could make this happen.
I think Spazz should do his next Mastering MonPoc with Quicken somehow.
Then TC would have to allow me to post more than one blog per day!
Either that, or I would have to do a monster like Hammerklak where he can be summed up in one page, encouraging people to just forget about him!
You doubt the Bop-A-Mole?!?
\m/ Wolfpac in da hizzy \m/
\m/ ooooowwwwwwwww!!!!! \m/
ODALE!!!!
No Konnan. No. Bad.
Incinerus will rise atop a pile of flaming monster corpses! Mark my words! Or maybe just a half pile!
There is no such thing as half of a pile. There are only smaller piles.
I’d like to change my answer to “Incinerus will rise atop a PIE of flaming monster corpses.” Thank you. Mmmm… monster pie.
