Podcasting Fully Functional – Let Your Voice Be Heard!

During Reborn II, we made it a priority to emphasize how much we wanted everyone on the site to be able to plug their podcasts directly into their blog posts. We also wanted to give everyone the same treatment that we would want when it comes to podcasting by doing all of the legwork to get the casts set up through iTunes. This would allow everyone to essentially take hold of their own podcasting destiny without all of the hassle.
We’re incredibly happy to announce that user podcasts are now fully capable of being inserted into blog posts, and, more importantly, have their own dedicated feed and iTunes page. Two Guys, One Throne was our test-case for this new system, and as you can see, everything is up and running.
Your podcasts will have their own dedicated iTunes page, and will be searchable in iTunes. You’ll also have a direct feed for your podcast in order to utilize the wonders of RSS. All that needs to happen on your end is the posting of a few solid podcasts, at which time we’ll contact you and get you set up.
With the advent of this new capability for podcasting, we were able to take the final step that we’ve been moving toward for a long time. All of our content, including podcasts, is now in the proper section of the site. Team Covenant is a community of tabletop gamers with meaningful, passionate, and well-articulated ideas. There’s no reason for any of those gamers, ourselves included, to have content in a special section.
With this change, we’re able to re-imagine what the top of the site looks like. We have no doubt that this change will drastically increase the joy that each of us get when we come to the site. We’re excited!
So, now there’s nothing holding you back. Host your files on the web, insert your file link into the media section of your blog, and click publish to have thousands of eyes and ears immediately on your podcast. Podcasting just got about as simple as can be! You only have to worry about creating a quality podcast – we’ll do the rest.
I actually just came to the site today to mention that the Monsterpocalypse Podcast and He Said, He Said haven’t actually been updated in iTunes for months, though I’ve seen updates go by on the site. Is that everyone’s experience, or am I special?
Nope, that’s what has been happening. The Monsterpocalypse podcast simply hasn’t been updating (like new episodes haven’t been posted). However, He Said has rarely missed a beat. We had an issue with the feed for that cast. We are actually in the process of fixing that feed!
