Monsterpocalypse Army Packs by Covenant

Every now and again I like to come to our website and ask myself, ‘if I knew nothing about Team Covenant or Monsterpocalypse, what would my reaction to this site be?’ Too many times in the past I have thought, ‘well my reaction would be… what in the hell am I looking at?’

So how do you fix that? My solution involved several new parts of the site and our store that we will be releasing over the next week or so. We are going to be doing several things that make our site easier to use for newer players. One of the biggest features, in my opinion, is the advent of the Monsterpocalypse Army Pack by Covenant. Basically, what this new section of our store will allow a visitor to:

1. Choose a level (price-point) at which they want to start Monsterpocalypse
2. Choose a Monster
3. Add Accessories
4. Checkout

To start there are 3 levels: beginner, pro, and master. When we get an order for an army pack we construct an army built specifically for the Monster that the visitor chooses. Each army pack comes with:

- Rulebook
- Dice
- Health Tracker
- Custom built army
- Quick start guide for the monster / army

Assuming they are in the United States, 3-4 days after ordering the player will get a box on their doorstep from us with all of the above, the monster they picked, and any additional accessories they decided to add to their cart. If you are an older player with a ton of figures you might be thinking, so what? I don’t need Team Covenant to build me an army. I’ll be the first to admit, you are probably right.

However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t help or be helped by this page. First, how can you be helped by this page? Have you ever introduced a new player to Monsterpocalypse? They love the game and then they ask how much it costs to start. They then get a starter box that has a monster they didn’t pick, 4 units with at least 3 off faction if not all 4, and 2 buildings that are ok. Well, now you can send them straight to the Monsterpocalypse Army Pack page and know that they will be taken care of.

Secondly, if you are a veteran player you can head on over to the Explodohawk Memorial Foundation. Soon we will have it set up to where veteran players can send in extra figures (monsters, units, buildings, glass, shadow, etc.) that we can include, for free, in Monsterpocalypse Army Packs. When we include the free figures it allows us to give new players an even better start into this wonderful game.

Later this week we will be putting up an Intro to Monsterpocalypse page that should help you introduce the game to players, friends, and enemies alike. We will also be updating the Explodohawk Memorial Foundation so that you can send in those extra figures for some free merchandise. Although the Army Packs are up and in place, we are going to continue to upgrade all of the features we are releasing in the weeks to come. So, if you test it out and have any suggestions, we’d love to hear from you.

Visit the new store.

You know, when it rains, it pours. And when it RAINBOWS, it SHINES REALLY BRIGHTLY.

I’m not sure if the above comparison works, but regardless, in addition to MonCon, we’ve upgraded our store. You’ll notice the following:

a much more refined, simple interface
improved speed and general function
safer checkout
better system for sorting out what you want
a much, much more pleasant experience
MonCon registration page (you know you want to register!)
a store run by fanatical Monsterpocalyse players
prices as low as a Mollok Groundbreaker

We hope that this upgrade will be a marked improvement. If anyone has any questions or suggestions, please let us know. As always, it is your support that keeps us going – and that makes things like MonCon happen!

Monsterpocalypse Now: Images

Although it took us long enough, we have now officially added the amazingly stunning Monsterpocalypse images to our store and our community site. You can find all of the images on our store in their full beauty here. You can also browse on over to the community site and see all of the images there by either using the top right search field, building an army, or surfing through other peoples decks.

If you note any that are incorrect or missing, please let us know. Also, if you have noted any products missing from our community site / store as in they just don’t have a page (example: Mega’s from Now, Gov’t Building, etc.) please also let us know. We are going to be adding the missing figures over the next week or so.
