I just thought I would start us off with a fairly simple topic.
My favorite theme deck right now is the Bara rush, done to death, and well known, but difficult to beat. My second favorite currently is my WIP Lannister Kingsguard deck.

I've seen some good stuff with the Lanni/Kingsguard stuffs but I'm not sure I'm ready to take the leap even though I'd like to. Any general thoughts/observations/recommendations on those lines?

I'm in love with my Greyjoy rush deck. I think it's something new and different, and unexpected for most. With the cancels and saves, it can pull into midgame if it needs to, and it's hard to stop the momentum for a T1-T3 win.

I'm a sucker when it comes to dragons… Still hoping to make a dragon deck viable. Right now, though, I keep running into greyjoy (which seems to have the tools to mitigate my best plays). Outside that, I am really digging my Dothraki deck. I built it as a melee deck but it's done pretty good even in joust. Finally, when I have more cards I'll be diving into a burn deck (Targaryen).

I started with dragons and brought them to my first big tournament – Days of Ice and Fire 2011. It went well (3-2) and it's still a very fun deck.
I've also enjoyed playing the House Dayne sub-theme. They have some great synergy and while I don't think it's a top-tier deck, it's always great to have large armies storming the field.
At the moment, I'm loving a deck built around Euron Crow's Eye (the Grand Melee) and a mild discard theme. Pirates FTW!

I recently started playing AGoT and ended up picking up all the cards for the group I game with regularly (minus the Summer/Winter chapter packs that are unavailable everywhere). As it turns out my friends are rather lazy, so I ended up assembling a deck for each house myself. We'll end up either picking a deck at random, or rolling dice with the highest roller getting first pick, and so on. This being the case, I picked out themes for each deck that I thought would be competitive, different from each other, and fun.
Lannister – Power Behind the Throne with lots of kneeling effects (This was the house/deck I planned to play from the start, so a lot more thought went into it and I have played/refined it a lot more than the others)
Greyjoy – Similar to what J.B. mentioned above, I put together a deck around Euron Crow's Eye from the Grand Melee chapter pack and a light discard theme. Toss in some saves/cancels and this deck routinely does well and is usually among the first picked by my friends.
Martel – Ghaston Grey deck that is probably similar to most other decklists out there. I originally used the Knights of The Hallow Hill agenda and influence users like Red Vengeance, but had some poor showings. I have since changed to no agenda and removed the influence requiring cards. It seems to have made the deck more consistent and usually does better now.
Targaryen – Dragons, using Knights of the Hallow Hill agenda + At the Gates (to fetch Advisor to the Crown) for a guaranteed 4 influence turn 1.
Baratheon – Knights of Realm agenda with a Noble sub-theme. Lots of renown, nobles, and The Power of Blood plot x2.
Stark – I let my younger brother build this deck as Stark is his favorite house. He uses The Siege of Winterfell agenda and then just some solid characters. I will probably end up adjusting it to be more of an army/war crest deck in the future.

Yeah, at the gates with hollow hill is FANTASTIC with the dragons. The issue I keep running into it by turn three or so not really having anything to spend influence OR gold on… Still trying to figure out how to supplement the deck with tools that I can use mid-game.

I had success running maesters + dragons. I would use Dragon Lore and play lots of dragons with dupes – finishing with Balerion and return to hand effects (Xaro, Called to Court, etc) to replay him multiple turns. If it goes off – and it's actually somewhat reliable – you get a board of dragons and their board is knelt.
In the end, it was a lot of fun and decently successful – but it also fell apart against certain deck types. Any form of control and you're in trouble and I saw a lot of it. Even something as simple as one kneel effect can really hurt. And search and detained is a pain in the backside, too.

I currently have a dragon deck that I'm gonna dismantle and turn into a Stark/Targ Creature burn deck. I'll elt yall know how it turns out. I might even have it ready in time for the grand opening.
As for Lanni hyper-kneel, I've done one before, and frankly got bored with it. I'm really looking forward to building a greyjoy mill deck though. I think a friend and I have it done pretty well, though I know I won't have it done by grand opening.

Would love to see it. I almost played off of 'At Night They Howl', but backed off as I delved more into the Dothraki and Burn decks. I still really want to see a dragon deck do well.

If you talk to the Missouri Meta players, there's one named Katt, who ran a Dragon deck that did exceptionally well at last year's regionals.

Kyle, on the of the IL guys in the Iowa City meta played his girlfriend's Dragon deck at the Days of Ice & Fire in November and made top 8. But that silly Search & Detain plot just wrecks them now. Short of running 6+ init plots, there's no way to run protective attachments on the Dragons, and no number of dupes will save them. :/

@Zach now that I'm on the case, we will see if I can help give any insight into making a dragon deck a winner

Right now, I just got my siege/fury/deep freeze stark deck built. Was originally gonna build something different, but then I bought all those cards and fell in love with different cards… Hope to test it out soon.
