A Game of Thrones : Blog Contest

If you’re anything like every single one of the TC Game of Thrones players, you’re a fanatic for one house.  In Steven’s case it’s the Greyjoys, for Zach it’s the Targaryens, meanwhile Robert walks around murmuring “Lannister” all day.  No matter how you slice it everybody has their to blave true love house of choice.

And that is why this week we launched one of our most anticipated items on the store, the Team Covenant House Pack!  As soon as we started playing this game we realized that we needed and wanted the means of just cutting to the good stuff of our houses.  Time and again we opened chapter pack after chapter pack just to get a single card for a single house.  There had to be a better way, and the House Pack is our answer.  Now we all have the option of just getting those things we’re interested in.

Ole Timett here burned his eye out for the chance to be the first in line for the Team Covenant House Pack.

To celebrate this big step forward in A Game of Thrones accessibility, we’re launching a blog contest!

Here’s the details:

  • Post a Game of Thrones blog between the dates of Marth 12th – March 31st.
  • Write that blog on one of these relevant topics:
    • The Valar Morghulis Plot and how it shapes the meta.
    • The Classic 3 of or 1 of debate on the number of copies of unique cards.
  • The winner will be selected based off the following categories (in no particular order):
    • Pageviews
    • Inbound links
    • Number of comments
    • Overall quality
The winner of the contest will receive the house pack* of their choice as a prize (subject to availability), shipped straight to their front door!
So don’t wait, as the AGOT community is hard to beat with their perspective and creativity, you’re going to need an head start in plotting and marshaling if you want to win this challenge!
*Of up to $20 in value.

  1. Feel free to take a less experienced players view on the topic. There is nothing about experience level that determines how good the blog /content will be. I’m crossing my fingers for some video blogs or even an AGOT podcast as an entry!

  2. Techncially… no. You could take the cards from the house pack, throw them together, and have yourself a small deck. But it wouldn’t be a legal deck size and you wouldn’t have the accessories to go with the game.

The house pack is meant to supplement the starter materials. The starter comes with the required token and coins as well as a starter type deck for each house. I highly recommend getting that and then supplementing it with the house pack.

As a side note, we will likely have a way for you to get house specific cards from the starter in the very near future. If you’re interested in doing this, I’d recommend emailing support@teamcovenant.com
