Happy new year, everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas & New Year’s season with friends & family. But, now that the presents have all been opened, the ball in Times Square has dropped, the Christmas trees are out on the curb, and Ryan Seacrest has been put in storage for another year it is time to get back to the championship rounds of Monday Night Monster VII! Here are the results from the quarter final round:

  • Marcus Utley (Seed #1, Ultra Tyrannix) defeated Colin Atkinson (Seed #8, Ultra Phobos-7)
  • Louis Brenton (Seed #7, Mega Voltron) defeated Gary Hall (Seed #2, Ultra Ulgoth)
  • VolkenVaderland (Seed #6, Ultra Zor-Voltis) defeated Israel Brenton (Seed #3, Mega Zor-Macros)
  • Scott Williams (Seed #4, Mega Mucustos) defeated Theorist (Seed #5, Mega Armodax)

These log files will be posted to the MNM VII Wiki Page very shortly (if they’re not there already) and are all great matches to watch and extremely hard-fought battles. Congratulations to our final four of Marcus Utley, Scott Williams, VolkenVaderland, and Louis Brenton! The semi-final matchups, with the winners of each going on to compete for the MNM VII championship title, will be:

  • THE OLD GUARD:Marcus Utley (Ultra Tyrannix) vs. Scott Williams (Mega Mucustos)
  • THE NEW BLOOD: VolkenVaderland (Ultra Zor-Voltis) vs. Louis Brenton (Mega Voltron)

Personally, I am very excited about the way that this bracket has shaken out. In the “OLD GUARD” bracket we have two former MNM Champions facing off against each other. Regardless of who wins, there will be a former MNM Champion in the final match facing a player competing for a championship for the first time. Will we see the second ever two-time MNM champion or a brand new face etched in MonPoc Mount Rushmore???

Many of us (myself included) are still in holiday mode so I’m going to make the deadline for this round midnight eastern time on Sunday, January 20th. I think that I speak for everyone when I say that I want to sit in and watch these matches so if the participants could please make it known ahead of time when the matches will take place that would be much appreciated!
