THE ELIMINATION BRACKET
We have a surprising 29 players managing to make it into elimination, thanks to several people saving their run by clutching Round 3. I’ve had the “game saving Round 3” rule in for several tournaments now without seeing many/any players ever use it to crawl back into contention, but this time around has been very different! Congratz to LeoArthur, EldarLord, SGCalgary, oAcolyeo, and Medicis here for digging deep and pulling the victory. I hope you can make the most of it.

With 29 players, we enter a bracket of 32 — only the top 3 seats (Discordia, Remi, and Sycho) will get a free win in TOP 32. Everyone else will pair with a filled seat, and I wish you all the best of luck moving up the bracket.

Here is the CHALLONGE BRACKET for the tournament.

I will add players who wish to report their own win as requested. Otherwise report to me. I have set the elimination rounds to only ask for winner, since the point score of the games will not matter. Win by an inch if it’s the only way!

ITEMS NEEDED FROM ALL QUALIFYING PLAYERS (INCLUDING ALTERNATES)
All players must use the most updated version of the X-wing module to play each round.

All players must submit a new squad. If you do not submit a new squad, I will attempt to enter you using your qualifying squad. If you do not submit a new squad but your qualifying squad is not legal for elimination, you will be dropped from the tournament. I would prefer that all players keeping their squad message me, to tell me their decision.
— Players running E-wings, Star Vipers, or Khiraxz Fighters need to rebuild their squads.

All players have until the end of Thursday, June 8th to submit a squad for elimination. I will post an article listing everyone’s squads and start the TOP 32 round on June 9th. For details on how to build a legal elimination squad for this tournament, look to the updated COST ADJUSTED SHIPS list below. All other Format Rules remain consistent from the qualifying stage.

COST ADJUSTED SHIPS
Discard the lists used during qualifying rounds.

DISCOUNTED SHIPS
All pilots for the following ships cost less to add to your squad. When these ships are destroyed, they are also worth less toward the final score. Be sure to remember this discount when reporting the score of your game. Consider this a change to printed costs.
3 less — T-65 X-wing
3 less — E-wing
3 less — U-wing
3 less — HWK-290
3 less — Decimator
1 less — Khiraxz Fighter
1 less — TIE/FO Fighter
(E-wing cost has been increased from -4 to -3, mainly for simplicity.)
(Khiraxz Fighter cost as been increased from -3 to -1, due to the new Vaksai title.)
(StarViper has been removed from the list, due to the new StarViper mk II title.)

COST INFLATED SHIPS
All pilots for the following ships cost more to add to your squad. When these ships are destroyed, they are also worth more toward the final score. Be sure to remember this cost inflation when reporting the score of your game. Consider this a change to printed costs.
3 more — YV-666
3 more — Jumpmaster 5000
3 more — Lancer
(Lancer cost has been reduced from +4 to +3, mainly for simplicity.)

If I’ve missed anything or you have questions, please let me know in the comments section!

    1. I had the Khiraxz Fighter at -3 before.

The new Vaksai title definitely helps the Khiraxz. However, it doesn’t help it very much. The performance bar for this ship is to match 22pt Enforcer, 23pt HLC Spacer, 23pt Mist Hunter, and ships from other factions (like the T-65 X-wing) that fill this same point niche and role (as a minor gunship).

At base cost 19 (cost -1), the Marauder has some wiggle room with discounted upgrades. You can fit in a Glitterstim, a Vectored Thrusters, or a Pulsed Ray Shield without going over 20pts. That lets it also match vs 20pt Fangs, Scyks, etc.

I would have very much liked to see the Vaksai come in at cost -1.

    1. The votes are for which player you think will win their game each round. It’s just for fun, to see if you can guess correctly. Under that section is the elimination bracket — just scroll down.
