The Arkham Expansion Subscription is being separated into the Arkham Campaign Expansion Subscription and Arkham Investigator Expansion Subscription, and the price of both is MSRP as dictated by Asmodee's new policy. All of these changes have been automatically applied for existing subscribers, who can verify as much in their Account.
Asmodee recently announced an update to their MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) policy, which raises the MAP of Asmodee products to their MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price). What this means, essentially, is that retailers cannot price an Asmodee product below its MSRP.
As such, the price of all Arkham products, including our subscription, is now at MSRP. This will impact both Campaign Expansions and Investigator Expansions in the following way:
This change has been automatically applied for existing subscribers.
Additionally, we've now seen multiple release cycles in the new Arkham "big box" model, and it's clear that Asmodee has no consistent plan to release the Investigator and Campaign Expansions for a given cycle at the same time. Because of this, we're separating the Arkham Horror Expansion Subscription into two individual subscriptions—the Arkham Horror Investigator Expansion Subscription and the Arkham Horror Campaign Expansion Subscription.
The upside here is that the price of the Expansion subscription will no longer have to change constantly between the two product types, and charges will be more clearly tied to their corresponding releases. The singular Expansion subscription continued to be a source of confusion for players, so we're taking this opportunity to clean it up without impacting current subscribers.
We're quite thankful to still be serving these Arkham expansions to a robust community of subscribers, many of whom have been with us since Dunwich Legacy(!), and we'll continue to make it as easy as possible to keep up with this masterpiece of a game.
